spring has sprung.. among other things

ok, so after a few, ahem, months of hiatus, i am returning to the word of bloggers! 2012 has been filled with craziness, busy-ness, and lots of otherness (my blog, i reserve the right to make up words).

i am in the process of finishing up my second semester of classes at apostolic school of theology (www.goast.org) for my master's in ministry, so that's keeping me busy. in fact, my final paper is due tomorrow at midnight.... which means i should be working on that rather than my blog! oh, procrastination :)

in other news, i have been teaching k-3 music at uniontown elementary school since march and we're in the process of rehearsing for the 3rd grade recognition program scheduled for may 23rd. as a result of this program, i can now recite all 50 states in alphabetical order...not to mention, i dream about it almost eeeeevery night. (*singing*) alabama, alaska, arizona, arkansas, california, colorado, connecticut, delaware, florida, georgia, hawaii, idaho, illinois, indiana. ooooh just go listen to it here.. it's catchy. you'll thank me tonight ;)

since spring has sprung, it also means that weddings are popping up all over the place. annnnd, as a result, my current repertoire for piano includes canon in d, bridal chorus, wedding march, canon in d, bridal chorus, wedding march, canon in d.. oh, yeah- you get the idea!! but, in all honesty, i do love it. i tear up every time i listen to the couple rehearse their vows (even if if don't know them) and i get all sappy when the bride walks down the aisle. today, my lovely violinist friend rachael hohenadel and i played at 40 corners church of god in massillon for laura and darin.. such an adorable couple!

below is a recording of us practicing "endless love." (the picture is from my aunt's wedding, 20ish years ago, in which my cousins aundrea, erica, and i were flower girls)

so, until next time my darlings, have a lovely weekend!
